My Thanksgiving Sides...
Green Bean Casserole
Frozen French cut green beans - enough to fill your casserole dish
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
about a cup of fresh sliced mushrooms
titch of:
- black pepper
- salt
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- soy sauce
- worcestershire sauce
Mix all ingredients together and put in casserole dish.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbling.
Orange Glazed Carrots
1 small bag of baby carrots
Cook in half a cup of water with some salt and the zest from one orange (Be sure to zest the orange over the pot for more citrus flavor)
Add:
1/2 stick of butter
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon of:
- cardamom
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
Simmer until butter is melted and the glaze thickens up a bit.
