Owl Pillow

quilted fabric
black felt or fleece for the eyes
brown or orange felt or fleece for the beak
stuffing

1. Cut an owl shape out of a piece or paper for a template and a circle for the eyes.
2. Double the fabric and cut the owl shape out so you have two, a front and a back. Cut 2 eyes out of a contrasting fabric. I did the front different from the back of the owl and cut a contrasting heart out for the owl's "butt."
3. Glue small black circles with fabric glue onto the eyes, they can be off center. Sew a small "beak" just at the top so it flops. Sew the eyes offcenter onto the front owl over the top of the beak with a 1/4" seam. The edges will puff up and give it dimension.
4. Sew the heart on the back owl with a 1/4" seam.
5. Place the two pieces right sides out and sew around the owl with a 1/4" seam, leaving the bottom open.
6. Stuff the owl as much or little as you'd like.
7. Sew up the bottom with a 1/4" seam.
SO CUTE! This is for my niece but I want one...

Pam, don't look. . .

Scrappy Wreath made with items around the house

Fabric scraps in a few colors
Old wire hanger
Raffia

1. Bend the wire hanger into a circle, it doesn't have to be perfect. The fabric will hide imperfections.
2. Cut or tear the fabric strips about 5 inches by 1/4-1 inch wide. The scrappier the better.
3. Tie each strip on the hanger, knotting once. As you tie on, keep sliding them close together and turning them different ways so it looks less uniform.
4. On the top side tie about 5 strands of raffia into a bow.

LOVE IT!

Metallic Candle

I added elastics to my black halloween candle and spray painted it with metallic spray paint.

Chain and Bead Necklace

Different length chains with beaded head pins attached.

Memory Wire Ring and Bracelet

I bought a package of different sized memory wires for a couple bucks. I cut the piece to my desired length and curled the end to close it. Added pearls and curled the other end. Easy and the memory wire holds it's shape.

Peacock Feather Earrings

I bought some cord end beads that you crimp with a hook on the end- Cut the feathers to the length I wanted- Peeled the feathers off from about half an inch so they wouldn't get squashed in the bead- crimped them- added the earring findings. SO PRETTY.

Pearl Chain Earrings

I cut 2 even lengths of chain with wire cutters to my desired length Put pearls on short head pins then attached them to the chain And put them on earrings

Sparkly Earrings

I bought a necklace for $3 at a craft fair. It was missing a few gems and still had the price tag on it...for $48! I took it apart Added a pearl on a short headpin onto the bottom "eye" Put on the earring piece Voila!

Stretchy Random Bead Bracelets

I used Stretch Magic Cord and a coworker gave me 2 big bags of random beads so I separated some out by colors I thought would look nice together. To finish them I put a small crimp bead on, knotted the elastic a few times, added a dot of super glue, slid the crimp bead over the knot and and clamped it shut.

Silver Votive holders

Plain old clear glass votive holders + elastics + metallic silver spray paint = MUCH prettier

Nail Polish I LOVE

Base = Sinful Colors "See You Soon" Glitter = Sinful Colors "Nail Junkie" Top Coat = China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat I love the top coat, it dries so fast! And right now, I can't stop looking at my glittery nails. . .

Star Ornaments (shh made out of toilet paper rolls)

Flatten a toilet paper roll. Cut it into 5 equal sections. Glue the 5 pieces together with a hot glue gun to for a star/snowflake shape. Spray paint with silver metallic or white. Add a ribbon or twine. These will be perfec to decorate packages or the salt scrubs.

HOME Wall Art

I used the cricut to cut these layered letters out of scrapbook paper, added bows and buttons. I wrapped 8 x 10 canvas with scrapbook paper, cutting the paper to just under 10" to avoid messing around with corners then glued the letters on.

Glitter Ornament

Plain glass ornament with red colored glitter - no glue, just glitter.

Salt Scrub

The plastic containers are old foldgers coffee containers. The white is vanilla scented and the green is green tea with some green food coloring. 4 cups epsom salt 2 cups oil (olive oil) 16 drops of essential oil

Lavender Salt Scrub

The jars are from Family Dollar $1.00 2 cups epsom salt 1 cup oil (olive oil) 8 drops of essential oil (lavender) 2 drops each of blue and red food coloring to make purple I think I'm going to tie the jars with twine and add a gift tag for Christmas gifts.

Jumbo Tie Dye Cupcake

We made this jumbo cupcake cake with the tie dye technique below using a Big Top silicone mold. It uses 2 cake boxes and you just have to "saw off" the top once baked to make it flat. Take it out of the mold and put together using frosting. We frosted the whole thing, used rainbow sprinkles and with food coloring made polka dots then dragged them into swirls with a toothpick.

Tie Dye Cupcakes

Make vanilla cupcake batter and separate into different bowls. Dye the batter with food coloring. We used gel food coloring to get brighter, darker colors.
Pour spoonfuls of each color in different amounts - do not mix. Let the batter settle on it's own.
Bake following box directions, frost, sprinkle and voila!

Grilled Haddock

Dip in milk then breadcrumbs and place on tin foil. Season with garlic, onion, crushed red pepper, italian seasoning and parmesan. Dot with butter, add onion lemon juice & wedges and pepper slices to the top. Create a tin foil "tent" and poke holes through the top. Grill for about 15 minutes until tender and flaky.

Baby Shower Crafts

Super cute diaper cake, bucket with moss and baby lollipops and pillow box favors stamped with "oh baby"

Zebra Origami Star

See the instructions here:

Super easy! Throw some string and make into an ornament, I just double stick taped it to the wall.
