Leaves and Ferns

These leaves and ferns are on the wall in my hallway. I needed something to take up space. . .that was cheap. The colors turned out to be perfect for the colors in that room. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the leaves and then inked the edges and filled in the lines on the ferns. I used double stick tape to hold them up there. I get a lot of compliments for it being just paper taped on a wall!

Mailbox with Oh My Vinyl

Here is the mailbox I made last night. I used some Oh My Vinyl and some glossy vinyl from ebay. The numbers are from the cricut Mini Monnograms cartridge and the swirls and butterflies are from the Home Decor cartridge. I think it came out really cute and will be way better than the one that I have now.

Snap 'n Stitch

http://www.snapnstitch.com/
The Personal Photo Cross Stitching Website for patterns or kits

Here it is!
Finally. It only took forever to get this website up and working. Still working out some small things but it is totally functionable now! And it's an easy to remember name! I'm pretty excited that I was able to make this mostly on my own.

Cupcake Treat Bag

This little cupcake drawstring treat bag is so cute! I gave it to my nephew for his birthday with some candy inside. I used the cricut and the cartridge was doodlecharms. Layering the freezer paper was pretty easy. You can iron over the parts you've already painted once they're dry.

Dog Treat Container

I made this dog treat bucket using the Paper Pups cricut cartridge. It's a plastic pretzel container that I collected from work and wrapped it with paper.
The paper Pups cartridge is one of my favorites and it's probably gotten the most use. It has a dog for every occasion and some really cute simple card features.

Baby Onesies

These are the baby onesies that I made for a friend's baby shower a few weeks ago. I used the Cricut to cut freezer paper then ironed it on the onesies as a stencil and used fabric paint.
The dog at the bottom is supposed to be "velvet." The paint said to let dry then use the steam from the iron over it from a few inches away. The paint puffed up but felt more leathery than fuzzy. The top elephant was just an iron on rhinestone patch I got for a dollar at Michaels.
**WARNING**
Once you start making these, you cannot stop.
I made 5 for someone at work (I buy the pack of 5 at Target for $9) for her hairdresser and 5 for another friend's shower for this Saturday. I made each set with different ones but the caterpillar is definitely a big hit! I also decorated the corners of some colored cloth diapers to use as burp cloths.

My First Blog Post

So, I decided since my sister has started a blog, scrapandteach.blogspot.com, that I should do my own since I made the account about a week ago but haven't posted anything. I started this blog as a way to post a scrapbook layout for a contest that I never entered or posted anything on. I also noticed when trying to post some craft projects that some sites have to "approve" you or you have to post so many posts and blah blah blah...

My problem is that I like way too many crafts and there will be no rhyme or reason to my blog except for the craft part. I have a hard time finishing projects so maybe this will help. I know Pam will keep checking up on me ;)
The above is a picture of my craft room vinyl wall saying that I recently made with my cricut and glossy vinyl that I got a great deal on from ebay. I work for a company that offers therapy and I'd definitely say crafting is cheaper but that's just my opinion.

I suppose I won't make any promises but I'll try to post as often as I'm able to.
